Even though this rocket launch in Virginia was about 240 miles away, I saw it a block away from our home here in Wayne, New Jersey. For a split second, the rocket looked like an orange comet. This is the second time in my life I have seen a rocket launch. The first time was in Disney World in September 1991 when I saw the Space Shuttle Discovery launching 50 miles away at Cape Canaveral.
