Evening has come again. Darkness surrounds you, stars hold high above you, and the moon - gentle, silver sentinel - keeps watch. Release the day and ease into the night. If you must hold onto a thought as you drift down into the warmth of sleep, may it be a memory of goodness, of something kind or beautiful, compassionate or forgiving, tender or amazing or loving that you experienced during the day. Shake off the ragged, torn thoughts that overwhelm or depress; throw them away. They are done and over. Train your heart toward the good, and its profound power will comfort, soothe and heal you. Rest well, then. And be well.
