Evening, its Alex Jackson with a Tasmanian Broadcasters election update. After nearly two hours of counting, pollsters are already calling the election for the Liberal party with booths from Flinders Island to Risdon Vale returning large swings against Labor. The Liberals are on track for majority government with the vote so far reflecting recent polling which awarded then 53 per cent of the vote. Senior government Minister David OByrne appears set to lose his seat in Franklin with around 20 per cent counted - Lara Giddings will be returned while Nick McKim appears on safe ground with 1.14 quotas. The Liberal vote in Franklin has crept back over three quotas again as counting continues with Paul Harriss apparently set to join Jacquie Petrusma and Leader Will Hodgman. Elise Archer is romping home in Denison with a radical improvement to her vote - shell be elected along with Matt Groom and Labors Scott Bacon, but the Greens will stay on one seat. Up north in Bass Dorset Mayor Barry Jarvis is looking good to join Michael Ferguson and Peter Gutwein while Michelle OByrne is likely to be returned instead of Brian Wightman. Kim Booth has polled three quarters of a quota so far. Rebecca White will retain her seat in Lyons while the Liberals once again are comfortably over three quotas, catapulting former senator Guy Barnett back onto the political scene along with Rene Hidding and Mark Shelton Bryan Green is on track to hold on in Braddon at the expense of veteran backbencher Brenton Best - Roger Jaensch appears set to be the third Liberal member and the opposition is even a chance for a fourth seat, while Palmer United and the Greens are neck and neck on less than half a quota each. Summing up, projections have a 13-seat majority to the liberals while Labor and the Greens are expected to end up with eight and four apiece.
