Ever wondered what to do with those left over bits of greens? The stems of herbs, broccoli leaves, spinach stalks, the bottom of celery, the sticks of kale (to name a few) that most people toss in the bin without a second thought? I always find a use for all parts of food, I really hate waste! Creating my own Pesto with my un-used vegetable pieces is a great way to esure healthy snacks and dips are constantly at hand. My lil Lady loves it. Its a fabulous way to get her involved in a healthy activity as well as an easy way to get her eating a whole lot of goodness. Ive added olive oil, lemon juice, himalayan salt, cracked pepper, spices such as turmeric and ground paprika and walnuts. All combined into my homemade pesto dip creation.
