Every day Milton wakes up before sunrise. He wears what his boss decides is appropriate. He drives to work in bumper-to-bumper traffic in a brown, reliable, and utterly-forgettable Japanese car, just so he can spend the vast majority of his life as an utterly-forgettable cog in a giant corporate wheel. His contribution will be forgotten the day after hes fired, quits, or keels over from a heart attack, wondering where he went wrong as it all fades to black. But who is this poor guy really mirroring? Yet here we are, the entire nation of voters voting in those egotistical self-centered, better than the rest of us poor working slobs. Ego and stupidity are the only states of mind that votes for ego. The Humility of Wisdom would never … ever … do that.
