Every time we spend a dollar we are casting a vote for the kind of world we want to live in. I want to live in a world that is kind and just. And that is why I launched a new social business circa Jan 14, which became fully self-sustaining around April 14, with any p̶r̶o̶f̶i̶t̶ surplus dedicated to funding loans on kiva.org. Pairing the two has effectively provided the means to *invest* in a better future. Im not talking about selling stuff through social media, or a conventional CSR campaign. I am leveraging 21st century technology to establish a fully transparent sustainable development portfolio, with auto-pilot enabled / preferred MFIs & economic sectors dialed-in... designed to continue in perpetuity @ 365 loans per year. A charity dollar has only one life; a Social Business dollar can be invested over and over again. Ive grown up fighting social and personal battles that many can relate to. For example, much of the world has a social codification that invariably colludes to oppress, through cultural identities which divide and pit we the people against one another. Fostering a chosen few mentality, with each sect rooting for those whom they dont understand to be wiped out in some apocalyptic scenario (promoting the siege mentality is a time-tested method of garnering support for an authoritarian regime / theocracy). I am determined to move against this and offer a message to friends around the world: Please dont wait for the next voting cycle, become frustrated & revert to complaisance... instead, get CREATIVE, and take direct economic action! I also urge you to start as soon as possible. Pick an issue you care about, and go for it! Entrepreneurship = creative destruction continually remodeling that which came before. Fear programming drives market volatility, benefiting only those with the depth of capital to weather the storm. Inter-class cooperation produces optimal conditions for commerce, leading to widespread prosperity. Anywhere theres inefficiency, it creates an opportunity for the strong of heart. Seize the day! We are living in EPIC times... not the end time.
