Everyday I am more in awe of teenagers. Just my opinion but I think school is waaayyyyyy harder than when I was in High School. Then add to the mix Social Media! I wouldnt have lasted a week in High School with Facebook! This week I had a beautiful young girl in my chair. She wanted to do something different to her hair but was having trouble deciding. I try really hard to ask the right questions so I can get it right! I could tell she had thought long and hard about it. After taking out the I pad and looking at a few pictures I felt clear on everything. I explained to her how it would be different and asked her if we were a GO? Then she said something that brought back memories of my High School years. What do you think everyone will think if I do it? Now being I am not a parent and Im not always sure of the right way to handle things like this I just sat and waited for the right thing to say to come to my mind. I told her I understood her worry.The look in her eyes when she asked me this question was so concerning. She then interrupted me and said But I know it shouldnt matter what other people think? I was happy to see that she realized that on her own. I told her she was absolutely right! The thing is shes so beautiful Im sure all the girls want to be just like her and she doesnt even realize it! Plus in a couple days she will have started a new trend and I will be seeing it on all the girls!!!
