Everyday I meet people at the proton treatment center and am so - TopicsExpress

Everyday I meet people at the proton treatment center and am so moved by their stories. Yesterday I met a beautiful little boy that I cant get out of my head. His name is Liam and, although he is 8, he is a tiny little thing. Liam has a brain tumor that surgery couldnt remove completely. The past few days have been an exhausting whirlwind for Liam and his mom, Nora, as this is a recent diagnosis. He started chemo today, too. So much for that little man to handle. He is shy. He is scared. He hates the idea that he will lose his mop of gorgeous white-blonde hair. Mom seems so strong, doing what she has to, facing a year-long routine of driving from New Jersey to HUP in Philly. It must be overwhelming for her. Liams father keeps the home fires burning and takes care of Liams twin sister. As we are on the same time schedule, I will see Liam and Nora often. I know folks post pics of other children who need our prayers, but can I ask you to add one more special little boy to yours? Thank you so much!
