Evolution: Lets discuss Morbiuss evolution as it is described within the comic books. Morbius is evolving as far as vampires go. Gaining more powers as he goes along such as hypnosis in 1992. I strongly feel there is a strange sort of misconception here. Evolution does mean that Morbius is going to reach Nirvana or supreme absolute connection and oneness with the planet and universe while he is in that quasi-immortal body. Even as a vampire he is limited in that he could probably (after centuries) evolve into having some interestingly enhanced vampiric abilities such as being equal to or slightly greater than Dracula sans the aversion to religious symbols and other metaphysical limitations. He will only be able to evolve within the confines of what is capable for a vampire. I do not believe he will ever physically become a Buddha or Messiah who is connected utterly with the whole of the planet and will be a God to humans because they are his food source. That is no longer Morbius. That is Galactus. And Morbius, the character, would (I feel) be mortified by the idea. Thoughts?
