Exactly... every penny of assets held by the middle class are taxed... and the rate continues to rise. Why do the wealthy, who can survive and thrive just fine and still have huge surpluses get to dodge their responsibility to keep America strong? Most of our wars are really to protect their assets overseas and to help them exploit the workers and natural resources in other countries while they cut our benefits and salaries, and then say were overpaid and spoiled and use it as an excuse to move factories overseas. America was founded to escape a society founded on inherited wealth, not to create another one.
