Examine yourself 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” Paul admonished the Corinthians to faithfully keep a close eye on their faith; to be in constant self-examination of their beliefs and works for the Lord that they do not slip. It is very easy to become lethargic or even disobedient if we are not careful to scrutinize ourselves every day. Take a minute today to look at yourself: 1. Are you in church every week? 2. Are you reading your Bible every day? 3. Do you pray several times throughout the day? 4. Do you truly love the Lord and tell Him so? 5. Do you love people and help them when you can? 6. Have you witnessed to someone lately? 7. Do you tithe your income to the local church? 8. Do you have some area of serve for God? These are just a few questions you might ask yourself. If you are lacking in one of these areas add it to your life and please God by your actions. Pastor Wilson (10-8-2013)
