Excellent figures relating to the economy have been released today. Unemployment is down by 58 000 which now means that the rate of unemployment is down to 5.8%, the lowest in six and a half years. In addition, wage growth is up by 1.7% which is considerably more than the rate of inflation of 0.5%. There is more to do but at the election in May we face a very clear choice of continuing with the economic recovery, cutting taxes, raising the income tax threshold and reducing the deficit; or risk a return to high unemployment, more borrowing and higher taxes with Labour....... and Ed Miliband as PM!!
