Excerpt from September 5, 2014 - It is nearly 3 am and Im lying here awake pondering a multitude of things. One of them being you and the way that I feel about you. Robert, I had locked my heart away and shut off my emotions. I promised myself that I would never let anyone else touch that part of me again. I promised myself that I would never let anyone get close enough to break me again. And I have faired pretty well...until now. I dont know how and I dont know when, but you have broken through every single one of my barriers and now hold my fragile heart in the palm of your damaged hands. It is like sitting by a window watching a snow storm. You see each flake as it is falling from the sky but you dont realize how quickly theyre adding up. Then, all of a sudden, your whole lawn is covered...and it is beautiful. Robert Charles, you are my beautiful snow storm. And I am afraid. As the season changes and the temperature begins to rise, the snow melts away. You look around the yard that was once blanketed in sparkling white powder, and theres not a trace left. I fear the changing season. For the first time in my life, I dont want to think about the past because theres nothing that I can do to change any of it. I dont want to think about the future because Im afraid that you wont be in mine. I just want to stay in the present...in this moment...forever.
