Exciting news! News Release Frontier Ag, Inc. Acquires SunOpta in Goodland and Edson On September 15, 2014 Frontier Ag purchased the Confection Sunflower Processing Plant in Goodland and the Grain Elevator in Edson KS. from SunOpta, a Minnesota based processing company. Frontier Ag will continue to process confection sunflowers at the Goodland plant located at 1701 Industrial loop in Goodland. The Edson elevator will be operated as a grain elevator, available to local producers for grain commodities during harvest. Dave Ruddell a 20 year employee of the sunflower plant will continue to manage the Goodland facility for Frontier Ag. All employees have retained their position with Frontier Ag. Frontier Ag will purchase and receive confection sunflowers in Goodland for this fall harvest. Mike Bretz another 20 plus year employee will be in contact with growers for harvest delivery and new crop contracts for fall of 2015 delivery.
