*Executive Assistant* The assistant job at MinuteVideos is best described as learning to do everything that the current manager is doing with the goal to be able to manage and direct such a project yourself. This includes communication with users (mostly email), script writing and editing, research and editing to write scripts for our own productions on any given topic, video editing and project management. This type of activity will most likely consume about 70% of your work. When not working on production the most important activity will be the promotion of MinuteVideos and its productions. In other words online marketing including the maintenance of facebook, twitter and Youtube channels and most importantly reaching out to third parties that could be interested in partnering with us for new productions or promoting existing ones. Day to day work will also involve a lot of organising, structuring, planning and generally making things more efficient. Every time we do them we try to simplify our tasks a little further. This means you will write down a lot of procedures, create illustrations, templates, screenshots, photoshop and most importantly screencasts, that are improved continuously. The only thing needed to get started is very good english skills, especially in writing. Everything else can be learned while doing. Preferred is a readiness to try new things and learning by making mistakes. Most importantly you have to be self motivated because you like our cause. At MinuteVideos we try our best to make affordable videos. Communication is one of the most basic and most important human activity because it informs people. It teaches us knowledge, it lets us know what products are available and most importantly it gives us options… If we know more stuff then we can make better decisions. It doesn’t matter how good people are, but if all their options are bad they will end up doing bad. We believe that by making videos more affordable we give people more power to communicate, to consume more knowledge, to have more options and thus the ability to make better choices. Ultimately MinuteVideos aims to focus more on educational rather than corporate videos. Bonus skills are any kind of design skills.
