Expedia announced on Thursday a new travel-booking app for iOS and Android tablets, featuring a simplified search that returns results for both hotels and flights. The app also groups destinations and experiences into collections based on themes — such as romantic getaways or best nightlife — and integrates planning, booking and user data. With the app, the company wants to create one beautiful and easy-to-use combined search experience, according to Expedia Worldwides chief product officer John Kim.
