Explorer Mikael Strandberg is an intriguing individual... He is a Swedish documentary maker, explorer, lecturer and writer. Hes cycled from Chile to Alaska (1986-87), Norway to South Africa (1989-92) and New Zealand to Cairo (1994-96). Patagonia 3,000 KM by horse through Chile and Argentina (1997-98). Walked (literally) through Maasailand in Eastern Africa, Kenya and Tanzania (2000). Kolyma River in Siberia via a canoe (2004 returned in 2013). The WHOLE of Yemen (including tribal north) on camel back (2011-2012, two trips). He is currently doing a England Expedition. Hes walked from Moss Side in Manchester to Sheffield to Derby to Leicester to Birmingham (tomorrow) then to Bedford (to see me) finishing in London on foot with his 20 month old daughter! In this expedition/documentary, he wants to concentrate on Muslims living in Britain and the role of the government in radicalisation it largest religious minority.
