Exposing the lack of integrity by the Waxahachie Daily Light The Waxahachie Daily Light published a letter online on May 14, 2014 that stated John Wray was endorsed by the NRA. This letter was available to the public to read without being a subscriber even if the reader had exceeded their limit on free articles. The Waxahachie Daily Light ended up having to publish a correction letter on May 17, 2014 clarifying that John Wray DID NOT receive an endorsement from the NRA. However, this letter can only be seen by subscribers or readers who still have free articles left to view. The correction is at the very bottom of the letter so non-subscribers never see it. Yes folks, thats the type of tactics our newspaper here in Waxahachie takes to influence elections. Its also important to mention that the Waxahachie Daily Light endorsed John Wray, so now youre seeing what type of favors theyll hand out to their guys. This isnt the only example nor the only candidate they are using underhanded tactics to benefit and sway public opinion. They recently began the practice of making negative articles for particular candidates open to the general public while protecting support letters for those same candidates from non-subscribers. I ask you; is this ethical or moral? Does this represent a newspaper with integrity? Does this make you feel like you can trust our local newspaper?
