F*ck cancer! F*ck death! So sad to hear of the death of Nick this morning. Died of cancer at 16. To me, death isnt beautiful or meaningful. Death is the enemy! 16 yr. old boys arent meant to die of cancer! My heart cries out for heaven where death is defeated. I have a special place in my heart for Nick, whom I dont personally know. But started following his story when Jesse was in the hospital. Around the time Jesse had his successful heart transplant, Nick was going through a procedure that they were hoping would save his life. But it didnt succeed and thousands of us have prayed for him and followed his decline in health. Thousands of us have watched his family live life on their terms and live life well. Truly an inspiration. Although much like we thought with Jesse, wed rather have a healthy son than be an inspiration. But we play the hand were given and Nick and his family lived life to the fullest till the very end.
