FB FAM: A LITTLE BIT OF TRIVIA FROM THE LIFE OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. Excerpted from my eBook: Journey Into Freedom and is part of my April 5, 2014 presentation at the African American Museum. NARRATOR AND SO IT WAS, that the soul destined to become the now renowned Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. came into being. As a special note, I might add, that controversy came early for him. At his birth, and though his father had named him Martin Luther King, Jr., the hospital inadvertently misspelled his name and it was recorded as Michael Luther King. Perhaps there was something symbolic about this seemingly small controversy. For it was thirteen years before the error was legally corrected. Ironically, it was thirteen years after that that he was thrust into the Movement at age twenty six; and sadly, thirteen years later still, he met his untimely death, at the age of thirty nine. TRUE FACTS.
