FC Edgy 3 - 2 Athletico Billboard Prior to the game, the pundits expected this game to end as a draw. FC Edgy then had to make a last minute change due to their captain, Nathan Horsfall, being unable to attend the game. Thus, putting the odds slightly in Athletico Billboards favour, however this did not knock Kyle Pearsons (FC Edgy Manager) confidence and he expected the victory. FC Edgy reign victorious for the second week running in a hard fought battle against bitter rivals Athletico Billboard. FC Edgy got off to a shaky start, conceding an early freekick on the edge of the area, where Athletico Billboards leading goalscorer, Jarrod Duffy, drilled the ball in to the bottom corner of the net. Shortly after, Wez Calvert ran in to the area and slotted the ball in with a one touch finish, leaving the goalkeeper crawling on the floor. The second half then began and there was an incident where Lewis Dale lunged in with a perfect tackle, winning the ball, in the area. Unfortunately, the referee saw this as a penalty and up stepped Lee Ashworth (Athletico Billboard manager), who struck the ball in to the roof of the net. Unfortunately for Athletico Billboard, they became complacent and FC Edgy stepped up to the mark. Wez Calvert scored his second goal of the game to pull it back. FC Edgy began to dominate Athletico Billboard, however their keeper stopped shot after shot with some unbelievable saves. With only 4 minutes left to play, Cody McCullough brought the ball down, cut inside from the right wing and drilled the ball home to put FC Edgy 3-2 up! Athletico Billboard then attempted to pick the pace up with some final attacks, however thanks to some great defending and tactical substitutions, FC Edgy proved themselves to not be the underdogs the pundits believe them to be!
