FEELING THE WEATHER Anyone who has had the privilege of living in a house with a roommate, spouse, or kids, and central heat and air understands the term relative. We are inundated on a daily basis to terms like relative humidity, heat index, and wind chill factor. You may hear the WEATHER man say it is 30 degrees outside with a 20 mph wind so it FEELS like it is 17. In mid August here in the South you may be warned to stay inside because it is 95 degrees with 98% humidity and FEELS like it is 120 degrees. Lets put a polar bear and a crocodile in the room and ask them how they FEEL about the WEATHER. At 32 degrees the polar bear is FEELING a bit warm and the crocodile is FEELING numb. At 85 degrees the crocodile is FEELING joyful and the polar bear is wilting. We all have FEELINGS but understand that they will always be relative to the established fact. If it is 32 degrees then it FEELS like it is 32 degrees. If it is 85 then it FEELS like 85. How we react or FEEL about the temperature is an individual response. Like the WEATHER, man attempts to make the Truth relative to his FEELINGS and opinions. The Truth is the Truth WHETHER we FEEL like it is the Truth or not. Gods Word is the Truth WHETHER we agree with it or not. The Truth is established and does not change. Human culture and knowledge shift like the wind and WEATHER but Gods Truth is unchangeable. What God says is good is good. What God says is evil is evil. WHETHER you like it or not the Truth is! WHETHER you like it or not you are accountable to the Truth. You will be held accountable to your individual reaction to the Truth WHETHER you like it or not. FEEL me? God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) Remember God does not change. He is not relative to you. Our FEELINGS revolve around His Truth. His TRUTH does not revolve around our FEELINGS. WHETHER we FEEL it is fair or not we will be judged by what we do with Gods Truth! WHETHER or not you FEEL it is true there is only one way to get to God! Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) WHETHER you FEEL or admit it, the Truth will either save you to eternal life or condemn you to an eternal hell. I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die. (Numbers 14:35) yet you refuse to come to me to have life. (John 5:40) WHETHER you FEEL like it or not you are required to believe, receive, and confess Gods Truth for what it is. The Truth and Heaven are realities. Receive them today. What you do with His Truth will determine WHETHER you enjoy eternal life or FEEL the condemnation and eternal punishment of Hells fire and brimstone.
