FF - Sorry for the absence. I had to literally an figuratively check out for a while. Something strange happened to me while on a little road trip I took. I made a stop at mom and pops store in the middle of nowhere. It was a very small store with limited selection. I was the only customer. The clerk was a attractive, well dressed, pleasant woman in her mid 60s (or so I guess). While checking out she asked if I was in town to find myself or hide from something. Just like that, I did not speak to her at all prior to her comment. I was taken aback, and muttered, that is what I am here to find out. She looked at me and said Dear, if you do not know the answer, you will not find it in the middle of nowhere. We began talking and I found myself telling her why I was so far from home. I was surprised at how freely the words spilled and how she listened. After about 45 minutes she said this to me. I ran away once too. It was 20 years ago. When I returned home I loved my husband for another 15 years. The memories we made in that time are forever in my heart, and I am thankful for them. My husband died 10 years ago. If I didnt work out my marital issues, I would not be as fulfilled as I am today and the memories that fill me with joy would not be here to carry me. She gave me the best hug I have ever had. She insisted that I not pay for my items. She then asked if I could watch the store for 20 minutes. It was an odd request, but for some reason I happily agreed. No one entered the store during that time. When she returned she had a box with a turtle in it that she handed to Billy. She told him to keep and feed him during our road trip. But that he was release it before we headed back home. She told Billy that he would know the right time to set the turtle free. She informed both of us that the turtle will slowly find its way home to the family it belongs to, and with his return the turtles heart will be whole again. We stayed in my friends very rustic cabin for a few days. We set the turtle free minutes before we left. The turtle look off for the spring slowly, but with purpose, as if he knew his place was at home and he had confidence that was where he belonged. As we made our journey home I stopped at the store, but the sign said closed for vacation. I have never believed in angels, but for sure I am a believer now!!! This happened to me, and as unbelievable as it sounds, it was life changing. Thank you my angel and much thanks to you turtle. You have touched my life in a way nothing else has.
