FIBROMYALGIA IS A REAL PAIN!!! (the following are excepts of a FB conversation I had with one of my friends who beleives they may be suffering too with this CRAP! Ive decided to share with all of you should you too be suffering or know of someone who is! THERE IS HOPE!!!!!! -------------- Have had Fibro for almost 24 years but not formally diagnosed until 2001. Have been through Hell and back with the various symptoms...and have tried EVERYTHING both natural and general medicines. Then, last year in desperation, I found a local doctor here in Fort Myers, Florida who had cured himself from liver cancer by injecting himself with Peptide shots. His name was Dakos (RIP 2014 at age 86)….he studied the use of Peptides at Oxford University and became one of very few US Doctors certified to dispense. As time went on, he came to learn Peptide shots (there are about 35 different concoctions approved for use) were also extremely helpful to Fibromyalgics! Luckily for me, although he passed only a week after I had read about him, he had turned his practice over to Dr. Gomeringer here in FM who is now also certified by Oxford to dispense. Dr. G is a D.O. and a very good doctor who also practices general medicine. I began getting the HS Peptide shot (the one used for Fibro) in February this year (2014) and immediately, my Fibro pain went down about 25%. I get one shot per month (will need to do so for 1 yr), and at this point my Fibro pain is about 80% LESS than it ever has been! The doctor says after the first year, he’ll start spreading out the time between shots...maybe every 6-8 weeks...and eventually I may not need them except for an occasional booster! It has been an incredible blessing!!! Unfortunately, the downside is 1) it’s not FDA approved and there is no disclosure of what exactly you are getting; 2) insurance does not cover and its $325 per shot; 3) the shot is given in the hip muscle and hurts like a SOB! Nevertheless, I am SO THANKFUL for finally finding something that actually works and I DO NOT catch every bug out there like before...I very seldom have bed-ridden days because of being in so much pain, and I never have that underlying I FEEL LIKE TOTAL CRAP feeling anymore! It’s been wonderful! I highly recommend contacting Dr. Gomeringer at (239) 768-5544. I also believe he will work with your doctor and ship the stuff to wherever you are if not in the area! About 5 years ago, I had continual pins and needles in my face and down both arms. Before starting the peptide shots, I would also have DAYS where my skin in the upper torso and face felt like it was ON FIRE!!! This has TOTALLY disappeared and the pins and needles are still always there, but so much more mild than before! Yes, Fibromyalgia is FOR REAL...and it’s a MAJOR PAIN!!!! Im no cry baby.... wouldnt be making this kind of crap up!!!! Also, in case you haven’t heard this before, Fibromyalgics have less P factor in our spinal column and so our pain tolerance is typically much less than a normal person! I went through a period of time when well intending family members and friends just thought it was all in my head and stress related. Well stress does make IT WORSE! But this is an actual disease and we dont need to apologize to anyone for living with it! Those who dont have it need to THANK GOD because folks...as I can attest....its HORRIBLE!!! Not to go on and on and on...BUT, I just want to emphasize again what I have gone through over 24 years trying to get help! 22 different doctors...Medical and Holistic...every type of treatment and test you can name... probably 30+ different types of meds; at least 100 different homeopathic nutrients...so many days of missed work I cant even remember...1000s of days in bed...numerous missed events of my sons while they were growing up...100s of gals of tears...and so forth...that is until last February!!!!! God blessed me once again!
