FINDING A QUIET PLACE Written by Angus Buchan on November 1, 2013. Posted in From Angus Desk Friends, I am reminded again of the urgency and the importance of spending time in the presence of God. I had the privilege of spending a short time in Israel at the end of last month. It is amazing to see the nation as a whole take time out. The Israelites have been able to sustain themselves for thousands of years because they take time out every year to create a booth (Succoth), where they remember God with much love and thankfulness. They remember how God took them out of slavery in Egypt and brought them to the Promised Land after 40 years in the desert. This time taken out strengthens them to continue fighting the good fight.
