FIRE/EMS Rant: Its been awhile...So, it still amazes me how human beings can be so negligent, cold, and inconsiderate of other peoples well being and life in general, ESPECIALLY their FAMILY!! Definitely top 3 calls of family neglect I have ever seen. Shit is sad. This particular guy has piles of feces around him, his diaper is down to his knees which is also filled up..there is urine and feces all over the chair he is sitting. He has serious respiratory issues, he cant walk, cannot take care of himself. He is literally emaciated. His house is not really a livable environment do to filth and dilapidation..etc.. Meanwhile his family lives in another city...we could barely breath in the back of the box as we try to make the situation better...shit like this still pisses me off!!..its sad to think the calls I have run over the years are a reflection or microcosm of our society...Luckily there are enough positive and self fulfilling calls on this job that enable me to still smile at the end of the day. -Your local neighborhood firefighter :-) Spoon
