FOOD FOR THOUGHT PEOPLE EXPRESSING FAITH Matt 8:13; Then Jesus said to the centurion, Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you. And his servant was healed that same hour. Jesus met a man with an understanding that he expected every one following him to have but he had not seen it until he met this man. Jesus had been teaching and doing great miracles but his encounter with this high ranking military officer made him exclaim. The man had divine understanding not common among men and although he was a mere man, he strongly believed and daily practised this understanding. His principle in life was based on this understanding and it had become a standard for him. Jesus had just entered Capernaun when this red neck Soldier approached him with a request that pointed out loving nature and belief in divine abilities. Jesus full of compassion and always ignited by faith had nothing stopping him from attending to the man immediately. When the soldier was told his house would be hosting Jesus he was delighted and considered himself unworthy for such great honour. He pleaded that Jesus would operate by divine principles which he believed and practised. He beat the imagination of Jesus when he requested for the word and explained the power of the word. When Jesus heard it, He marvelled, and said to those who followed, Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! As the word went forth, the sick servant was healed! The man believed the word and it definitely worked for him. Beloved, you can begin to act like the centurion today. There is nothing you are facing that beats the ability wrapped in the word. This was an expression to prepare us who won’t be having the physical presence of Jesus. This is our perfect proof that the word works wonders. What exactly is your challenge today? Just allow your beliefs agree with the word and your desire will be delivered to you gbam! I challenge you today, believe the word!
