FORTY SIX years ago, I was discharged from the USAF. During my four year stateside hitch, I experienced no military action. Four days following, I would begin another hitch that would see action, conflict, joys, sorrows, ups, downs and blessings, not to mention "to have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health and maybe even a little "obey" stuff. Today, marks, Shirley and my anniversary.
