FOSTER(S) NEEDED 10 year old Pit Mix mama, Molly, and her (5) 6 1/2 week old Pitt/Jolie pups are in need of foster(s). If one person can take all of them as a family, great! If not, they can go to separate foster homes. If pups go separate they need to go as 3 and 2. Mama Molly needs out as well. Once we have fosters for all, we can pull. ***Heres her story: On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, a very pregnant female pit bull was found injured next to Highway 52 in Manchester, Ohio. The Humane Society of Adams County and Bailey Animal Hospital teamed up to help the sweet girl, nicknamed Molly. She was emaciated, limping, and had lacerations to her face. She was advertised extensively through newspaper and social media, and it was revealed that her former owner, a woman named Lily, passed away leaving eight to ten dogs behind. Molly disappeared from the property and turned up 3 weeks later next to the highway on December 2, 2014. She was gentle and trusting and went to a safe foster home while she recovered from her malnourishment and injuries. On December 6, Molly went into labor. She was still laboring over 24 hours later, so she was rushed to Shawnee Animal Clinic in Portsmouth where she gave birth on December 8 to eight healthy puppies - five boys and three girls. She was transferred back to her foster home, where she was able to relax indoors and just recover while she cared for her babies (she is a GREAT mama). Three of the puppies have been reserved by great families, but the rest of the puppies and Molly herself have no one. The foster is facing some upcoming major health procedures and has asked us to find a way to re-home Molly and the remaining puppies. PLEASE! I know SAAP can help this family. Caroline Keefe Rollins
