FREE & FAIR? The election was free and fair because nobody died as its used to be, abi? No ballots box hijacked, so the election was free and fair? Because the opposition won the game, so that means election was free and fair and Jonah must be commended abi? Its until we try to understand that VOTING EXERCISE is just a very minimal part of electioneering process before we can understand what actually are the main measuring factors to determine the freeness, fairness and credibility of a certain election. I think we are forgetting that its the electioneering process that leads to voting, many things might have been done and put into places before it gets to voting and if one of these preliminary stages ia breached then the election is void no matter which party wins. We keep on saying the election was free while many were arrested and detained without any reason. Many PVC cards (more than 50,000) were held and not withdrawn to the legitimate registered owners by the INEC and we still say the election was fair. FREE and FAIR INDEED!!!
