FREE OUTDOOR CONCERT An eight-piece Brooklyn band, Red Baraat will liven up Turner Park with a hard-driving blend of North Indian bhangra rhythms and elements of New Orleans brass, funk and hip-hop. The band’s second studio album, Shruggy Ji, was released in January, and is hard to define musically. Red Baraat calls it “an incredible party jam that moves your parts.” At Jazz on the Green, the band will be able to do what it does best: Communing with their audience in a joyful, near hedonistic celebration of music and dance, which tellingly, draws a crowd even more diverse than the players on stage.
