FREE TALK TOMORROW: Revitalising Pottery in Vanuatu For several years Warburton ceramic artist Alistair Whyte has helped villagers in South West Bay on Malekula Island, Vanuatu, to regain a long lost tradition of pottery making. With support from local Yarra Ranges artists and Melbourne yachtsmen he has been able to bring materials and a specially designed kick wheel to the island where he has trained local craftsman in the art in its traditional form.
