FRIENDS: Concerning research ethics, is it appropriate to include those who opt out in the data collected as long as it is provided in the informed consent? Would this make the participants feel obligated to do the survey and it, therefore, not being completely optional for them (as well as a genuine survey)? Give me your thoughts! Even if youre not a psych major, tell me how you would feel if you were a participant and knew that your presence would still be anonymously used, even if you dont complete the survey?
