FROM THE WALL OF GOV JOEY SARTE SALCEDA 1st Biggest Jobs Fair Set on April 22-23 Legazpi City- The first biggest Jobs Fair in Bicol, the Magayon Jobs Fair is set on April 22-23 at the Albay Astrodome, Legazpi City. This event is sponsored by the Provincial Government of Albay thru its Public Employment Services Office (PESO) in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Coordinating Committee (DOLE-RCC). “We have scheduled at least three big jobs fairs this April and May. All aimed to ease the bulk of newly grads this March” DOLE Bicol regional director and RCC head Nathaniel V. Lacambra said. As of press time, hundreds of job vacancies will be available in the Magayon jobs fair and will be participated by about 25 local and 15 overseas employers. However, Provincial PESO Manager of Albay and current Regional PESO Federation President Ms. Lily Nicoleta said that the number of participating employers and job vacancies might still increase in the coming weeks since invitations are still being sent to employers in other regions. Applicants are advised to bring multiple copies of all relevant documents that may support and boost their credentials during the hiring process. The basic documents that applicants must bring are: resume, transcript of records, Form 138, TESDA Certificate of Competency (COC), government clearances, passports, The Magayon Jobs Fair is also calendared as one of the pre-labor day activities of DOLE-RCC Bicol. The DOLE RCC, headed by the DOLE, is composed of the eleven attached agencies of department which are DOLE, TESDA, OWWA, NLRC, POEA, RTWPB, ECC, NRCO, PRC, NCMB, and the PESO Regional Federation. – fin.
