FROM TRIPADVISOR: “Katherine the tour guide saved the trip!” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2014 NEW In short: Katherine was an awesome tour guide and accommodated my handicapped Grandmother and saved us both from a lot of tears. Please make staff aware if you are bringing someone in a wheelchair and make sure they inform the tour guides! I took my elderly, handicapped Grandmother on a trip to Eureka Springs. Just her and I. We had been planning it for months. From the pictures I had seen and things I had read it looked very much like something she would like because of Eurekas dedication to keeping things old looking. The things there are beautiful but they certainly do not cater to the handicapped. The sidewalks were too rough to take my Grandmothers wheel chair on so most of the sightseeing we had planned was cancelled. Plus she was sick for a full 24 hours before we arrived at the Hotel, so that put quite a damper on things as well. We arrived at the Crescent Hotel for the last night of our trip. We chose that hotel specifically to take the ghost tour. It turns out that I was supposed to alert the staff that my Grandmother was in a wheelchair because the tour goes up and down the stairs. This matters because the tour guides have to make allowances time wise for us to use the elevator. Katherine was our tour guide and although she was surprised by our appearance, she made us both feel welcome and well informed. I cannot express how upset my Grandmother would have been to have missed our original motivation for coming there. She is the one who originally got me into horror movies and all things creepy to begin with so its always kind of been our thing. Katherine, besides saving me and my Grandmother from tears, was a super awesome tour guide! She was well spoken and knew her stuff! I also liked that she played the skeptic a couple of times and debunked rumors/theories/and strange noises that the group heard. The tour was awesome! You get to go into the morgue! At night!! I thank them and especially Katherine for an awesome experience! Visited September 2014
