Facts dont lie. Memes do. 1. S&P downgraded the U.S. credit rating because Americas governance and policymaking [became] less stable, less effective, and less predictable than what we previously believed. bit.ly/RatoD9. So, because Congress cant effectively make prudent policy, the credit rating for our debt went down. 2. Unemployment is 6.3% (1.usa.gov/L8BKrM), so the Obama administration has made the unemployment outlook in the United States better, not worse. 3. Gas is more expensive, Ill give you that. But, when unemployment was soaring at 7.8% thanks to the failed policies of the Bush Administration, that consequentially meant that inflation would plummet (bit.ly/1k6e328). You know, economics. When inflation is low because people are out of work, I dont think anybody should pat themselves on the back. 4. America hasnt declared war since December 11th, 1941. But, if youre referring to Operation Enduring Freedom (Operation cheaper natural gas pipeline across Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (operation cheaper U.S. gasoline and decentralization of OPEC) then, yes, they still plug along. But, whatever this imaginary 3rd war is, I cant tell you. 5. Congress passed unemployment benefits extensions. nyti.ms/1nrbNBs. Thanks Obama. 6. Its congress responsibility to pass a budget, not the president. 1.usa.gov/JhZIQH. Thanks again, Obama.
