Fair warning: this is going to be long The past few weeks have been like an absolute dream for me, and validated my decision to take another semester off to enjoy the finer things in life. As my University debating career nears its end, I begin to understand and cherish each moment all the more. So I wish to take this chance to share my wonderful experiences and give tribute to all the wonderful people I have met. First of all, my new friend and STU CUP roommate Samuel Chan, for all the late night talks about umbrella movement and great company overall. I have always had the greatest respect for you as a debater and a person, and you remain one of the most fearsome debaters I have known. Kaiden Sin for allowing me to crash at his place at Macau Debate Open, and for driving me around and entertaining my random conversations. Tomoya Yonaga, it was great catching up with my ADI lab buddy and I look forward to the next time we meet, I love you bro. Loke Wing Fatt, for his contributions to the debating circuit and community within North East Asia, the hosting of wonderful events and tournaments and giving me the opportunity to be part of it all. Other stalwarts like Thepparith Senamngern and especially George Chen my favorite tabber, your efforts deserve to be recognized in an Asian Debating Hall of Fame if it did exist. Winning a poker tournament, getting into a relationship, breaking on perfect and losing a final in a 5-4 split, all these moments have been life changing in their own way and I would like to thank Lucas Li for his support in JC, without his support and guidance none of these would have been possible. Hee Zhengxun, for getting me hooked on poker, we should meet up sometime soon, Im sorry I have neglected my high school friends over the years and will make an effort to catch up with you all. Choyi Chan, thank you for inducting me into the broken peoples club, I cant believe it took all these years for us to actually get to know each other. Your support and advice helped ease my worries of going to Beijing greatly. Yangzom Tsering, for those late night walks down the streets of Beijing and bringing me to random cafes, restaurants and shisha bars, I miss you greatly
