Fall Camping on the Waccamaw River I will be camping on the grounds of the Shady Rest Cabin down by Big Savanna Lake for a few nights to enjoy the Autumn evenings in the quiet presence of the river and surrounding woods. Though, I might break the silence with some uke playing and laughter. Feel free to join me for part of the time or the whole weekend. If anyone is interested we can kayak down to the cabin from Wortham’s Ferry or Chris Anderson Landings. Maybe a trip from the cabin down to Red Bluff… Or just piddle paddle around close to camp. There is car access to the cabin for equipment and parking… or you can kayak there from Big Savanna Landing. There is no water, electricity, or bathrooms. While at the cabin we practice Leave No Trace rules for camping… You pack it in, you pack it out. It may be cold, it may be hot. I will be going rain or shine, staying on these nights… Friday 10/31 Saturday 11/1 Sunday 11/2
