We understand that you want to get the best rates on your travel arrangements, but we recommend that when you are booking your flights that you purchase travel insurance in the event that your trainee doesnt meet all the graduation requirements, injured or ill. Also please make sure you know what your hotels cancellation policy is. Also lodging on post is very limited and soldiers and their families who are PCSing to Fort Jackson have priority, so they do not allow you make reservations more then 10 days before your arrival. All information listed below is based off exits that make it easy for you to reach Fort Jackson within a 10-15 minute drive. However getting through the gate may take an hour. Interstate 77 (I-77) has two main exits that lead you directly into Fort Jackson where you will be able to receive a Vehicle Pass for your car. Most hotels offer a free continental breakfast that would be convenient for the early mornings of the events at Fort Jackson. Please inquire with reservations as many will offer you a “Graduation Rate” and it is safer to call the hotel directly to receive that rate. Toll Free Reservationists do not have the capability of offering you this deal. Because you have to exit Fort Jackson to get to Weston Lake, it is off limits to Soldiers on Family Day. FORT JACKSON LODGING – (803) 782-9802 or 800-276-6984 This is military lodging and its priority is to incoming soldiers who are either PCSing or attending schools at Fort Jackson. There is no guarantee on reservations. You can only make your reservation 10 days prior to arrival and if the room is needed for a soldier, you can and will be bumped from your reservation. Please reconsider using this as your priority for hotel accommodations as we would hate to see you scrambling for a hotel reservation days before graduation. Hotels do book up fast in the area, and keep in mind, this is a battalion graduation of over 600 + Soldiers, so you can imagine the family and friends that will come to support the soldiers. *The above locations/phone numbers may have changed.
