Family bible study was great today. Re read the 23rd psalm. When David writes "you anoint my head with oil". This was given a whole new meaning for me today. As a shepherd, it is said that they would have put oil on the head of their sheep to protect them from paricites, bugs, that would burrow through their body to get to their brain. If this were to happen it would drive the sheep mad. David was tell the reader that when you pray and give yourself to GOD he will anoint your head so that when you go out and face trouble, your mind will be protected from an enemy invasion. Another example of GODs holy and righteous love.
