Family, such an easy word to use, I love mine, even the ones that I barely know. My step-Father is my Dad... His blood children are just as much my family as the two wonderful ones my mother had... But I have claimed more family over the years... I do not easily or casually call someone that. Hell, I avoided my own mother for too many years out of self loathing and anger... Tonight, I know I am rich in my family. Every single one of You, has a claim on my heart, I would die, if necessary, to help You... Living is the harder choice. But, my future will be in service to those I claim, and who may, without guilt, ask me for anything. Up to and including my life, nothing I have ever had is more valuable to me than those I love..... I am 100% sober, and my spiritual journey is still a work in progress, but I can honestly say. I am looking forward with hope, and some happiness.... For the first time, and I owe it to the dispersion and spread of those I call family. In Pa, Va, Nj, Australia, New Zealand, Tn, and other places. I can and will be hurt again in the future, because I will give all of me to those I care about, and truly ask nothing in return. My spirit flies tonight, basking in the joy of the family I have here, and those who have passed ahead on the journey of existence.... Too many thoughts and not enough reach to hug You all as I wish to. Hoping each of You feels the care and hopes I hold for You.
