Far be it from me to start drama on a thread but the situation at Carson makes me more than upset when I see just how uninformed non rescue people can be. In the case of Senior Fur Baby Shiloh, he had a rescue planning to pull him and a private woman adopted him. Although not courteous what made my blood boil is the audacity she had to set up a fundraiser for $5k!! Then her few supporters lump our genuine concern into a pot with trolls and haters. I am neither! But THIS is what takes place in rescue and sadly scammers make things twice as difficult for us. Here is a post I felt compelled to respond too. It is easy to understand our concern for the welfare of doggies when these are the kind of people we face. Sigh. For what its worth, this was my posted response. It is not intended to bash Ms. Foxx. Rather to get people to better understand that saving a dog takes more than adopting/pulling it from Shelter and setting up insane fundraisers. Lola Foxx your post is misguided and rude. I am not part of some Troll Conspiracy nor possess a lynch mob mentality. I do PLENTY for dogs and am a Village doer not talker. To answer basic questions in rescue is Common Courtesy and would prevent negative comments on threads. It is also a well known fact in the rescue of an animal to step aside when a large Rescue commits to a dog. The idea is the dog has rescue backing and funding for comprehensive care and complete vetting not just a superficial exam and half ass blood test. Where my involvement began is when I heard of Judys ludicrous Go Fund Me of $5k??? Trust me, I have saved many a near deathbed dog and not paid half that. The 2nd concern was when it was posted he was going to be transported. I do not make it my Lifes purpose to bash people I do not know and for the record I DID contact Judy AND Ana and both very polite pms were seen and ignored. So, please do not stereo type everyone here who voiced concerns about SHILOH AND presume things about us when you know NOTHING about us. For me, the dog comes first EVERY time and good intentions do not always equate to GOOD RESCUE. We, as rescuers deal firsthand with the results of POS former OWNERS and scam rescuers daily, oftentimes absorbing the costs out of pocket. I find it curious that with a good Plan in Place why did Judy not save a healthy dog she COULD afford as opposed to poor Shiloh who obviously has nutrition and health issues requiring full blood panels etc. I am sorry if any of my concerns offended you or anyone here but I have every right to call out red flag behavior when evident as was the case here. Ironic that Judy STILL asks for $5k after her vet visit wherein she states Shiloh just needs skin meds and good food. Considering the gracious folks donating I would think they have a right to know where their hard earned money is going to. As for Shiloh, I pray he is truly and fully vetted and well cared for. I would be the first to thank Judy had she not solicited money and taken a dog she herself cannot afford.
