Farewell and good riddance 2014. This has been a year of heartbreak, trials and tribulations – a real test of character that’s for sure!! If you don’t choose to read on I don’t blame you one bit. I have lost my soul dog, Zoe (enough heartbreak for a lifetime), gained 2 more dogs (thanks Suzanne Fletcher for Sammy- he’s a little shit but adorably so, wouldn’t be without him). The Boof acquisition I fear was an unpleasant experience and has long term ramifications, it would seem – anti-social(reputation trashing) networking at its best!!! Still, I would do it all again – he’s a beautiful, gentle giant with a loving smile and a huge bark!! We love all our dogs, a positive is that Zac has become very much “my” dog. Our cats have proven to be very demanding and require much patience, still working on their issues. On top of this, I have been “divorced” innumerable times. Now, that’s nothing new in my life BUT, I’m a lot older and life’s circumstances (job, assets) change! Still hanging in there, trying to work through the issues like reasonable human beings. I have cried tears daily for animals lost, tortured, mistreated and unwanted. I try to help what I can, when I can but, it will never be enough. Animal abuse is so very soul destroying. I have worked possibly harder than I have worked in my life-running your own business is extremely time-consuming. I have learnt that, while I was a good classroom teacher, I suck at being a TRT in a school with no discipline and with no personal standing. I struggle to come to terms with some of my experiences these last 2 years. I have seen friends go through some very hard times. To all my “old” friends. Thanks for staying with me despite my short posts, lack of communication and neglect. To all “new” friends, thank you for being part of the positives this last year. Roll on 2015. I look forward to the birth of my first grandchild. Happy New Year to you all. XX
