Farmers’ safety day celebrated in Shahapur On 24th November 2013, on occasion of farmers safety day ALC India organised programmed for Shahapur farmers in collaboration with the Sygenta India Pvt Ltd. The agriculture input Supplier Company. The promoters and large group of farmers actively participated in the programme. Assistant Programme Director of the ALC India, Mr. Sharad Pant informed about excessive use of pesticides and its effect on human body as well as the person who are handling it. At the same time he requested the officials of the company for providing the pesticides to the farmers on fare rates. From Sygenta Company the customer care manager Mr. Nadkarni illustrated on the technical aspects and informed about precautions which the farmers have to take during the handling of the pesticides in their field. He informed the harmful effect of the pesticides on skin, eye and other parts of body, as a precaution he informed to use a dress which the company were providing on very minimal rate to the farmers under its CSR activity. During the programme farmers asked various question to the experts and the experts of the company provided them satisfactory answer. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks expressed by Mr. Sheshangar the one of board of director of the Shahapur Farmers service Producers Co. Ltd. Programm Manager Mr. Rajeshwar, Field executive Mr. Balbhim Patil make their efforts to conduct the program successfully.
