Feather Gatherers has a stellar cast: Juliana Francis Kelly -- Julianas Devil will astonish and beguile you. She killed it last year at the Dixon Place workshop of this show -- but now I realize she was just warming up. Cant wait. Ean Sheehy -- Ean amazes and delights in one NTUSA show after another. When I directed my first play, I asked Normandy for directing advice; She said Find the best actors you can. First person I called was Ean. Happily, he said yes. And happily our association continues. Jess Barbagello -- Jess is a smart actor whom I admire -- who brings something unexpected and exciting to the Soldier, a seemingly simple, but oddly difficult role. Admiral Grey -- is an amazing performer. Hearing her for the first time in Cellular Chaos at the Uncanny Valley, I started dreaming up ways we might be able to collaborate. This is the first of those to come about. Hopefully, many more will follow. Nikki Calonge -- When the Urchin part was written into this show, we knew we were writing it for Nikki. We knew she could take the character to all the strange places it has to go -- so we felt free to pull out the stops! You will like the results. Edgar Oliver -- If youve ever seen Edgar perform, youve loved it. If you have not, you are in for a treat. Its worth mentioning that Edgar, like many of these actors, is a playwrite himself. Which has certainly helped keep us honest as weve worked on this script. Lisa Clair -- performed the Orphan role in last years workshop of this play, and was delightful in it. Her confused schedule this summer kept her from reprising that role -- but we couldnt let her go that easily, so wrote a new part for her in this, as Elsie. LC, get it. sorry. Lili Sotirova -- is a founding member of The Drunkards Wife. She came to me and said Lets start a band. You make all the music. I said OK. What will you do? She said I will act out the songs. And so, The Drunkards Wifes Mummer character was born -- at our music performances, Lili portrays such vivid types as The Old Drunkard, the Freedom Fighter, Medusa (a Gorgon), Salome, and many more. Tavish Miller -- the Dancer character in this show was inpired by Tavishs role in the National Theater of the United States of Americas production The Golden Veil at the Kitchen. So who better to play it.
