Feeling discouraged or perhaps naive , or just plain stupid . I try to teach my daughter the act of giving to those in need by example . Maybe this is a mistake , I have gotten taken advantage of by people who I believed in keeping their word to return a favor and then they do not . However , there are others Ive given to or helped with no expectation of return and they surprise me with giving back in some way or another . I teach my child to give anyway ????? Hmmm
