Feeling restless... Hopeing tomarrow I finish up with my Firefighter 2 refresher so I can get out onto the next fire... We also tend to get a medical aid call about once a week or so, and im the only EMT on my engine... Meaning, Yay!!! Liability if somthing goes wrong... Lol. The only other guy who has EMT training on my engine let his cert expire once he was hired for a year round position... I dont blame him... Takes all liabilty off of him and reducing the chance of getting the forest service sued, and thus him fired. Dont you just love our leagal system... I save your life, you dont like how I did it, you sue my agency, I get fired even if I did everything right... Better yet, im off duty, see you need help, save your life, you dont like how i did it, and sue me... Ahhhh, Justice. Now you may understand why so many off duty EMT and Paramedics do the EMT Salute when they pass an accident... They cover the scene with one hand and say, didnt see anything, didnt see anything until clear of the area... Ummm... Anyhow... Damn it, when am I going out on a Fire again... I want to play with the big flamy stuff... Lol... Ok, bordom has reached its max for me... Im going to bed... Just as soon as i get the balls to walk in the pitch black night to my barracks about 100 feet away... Damn bears... Why cant you go stalk the boy scout camp a few miles away... They run slower... Lol. Actally so far i havnt seen any bears... Nope... Just thier foot prints the next moring around the outer edge of my very small station. Solitude is great until you realize your only alone from humans... Lol. Good night all.
