Feeling sad... for the last 9 days I have been on garden leave in consultation with Family Investments (my employer for the last 9 1/2 years) regarding redundancy from the company. This morning, I signed and returned my paperwork to accept the settlement and I will officially be unemployed from Tuesday next week. Ive had a great time at Family and leave behind a fabulous team of colleagues (past and present) who I have enjoyed working (and socialising!) with over the years. I really will miss everyone and hope this isnt the end of many of the friendships I have made. Id like to thank anyone Ive spoken to over the last week who has kept me upbeat and positive or given me advice - it was all gratefully recieved. The next few weeks are definitely going to be a challenge as I enter the world of job hunting, but I know with the support of my great friends and family Ill come out smiling eventually. Special thanks to David and Yvonne for being two of the most amazing people in the world. xxx
