Feeling sad today. Been going to a lot of open mic nights at bars lately, listening to TALENTED beginner musicians pouring their soul out on the stage for just 4 or 5 patrons, most of whom arent even listening... and yet people like Fred get their own show on Nickelodian. Im sure most of you have never heard of my favorite songs/movies because they never went mainstream. The best art has to be hunted and searched for, which most of you arent willing to do. This is why I dont think Ill ever be famous, and Im OK with the logic of that. All of my favorite artists, musicians, comedians, actors, directors, etc. are people who arent famous, and if being as great as they are means I also dont grab the spotlight, thats OK. I dont need to join the ranks of Fred. Id rather be remembered by few for being among the gods of creativity than being remembered by many for being mediocre.
