Feels like another one......I thought of this title of a Patti Labelle song, as I thought of a word for Sunday; a follow-up to 2nd Sundays message. On 2nd Sunday, the Sermonic message was taken from Job 1:20-22; A Strange Reaction. We talked about Jobs seemingly strange reaction to the back to back tragedies that befell him and his family. Job; #1: Got Up (arose), then #2: Got down ( to Prayer); then he #3: Got God (got in contact with his God, in his darkest hour; AND Worshipped!). Well, I see something else in chapter 2:3; Demoted to be Promoted. In chapter 1 he was a man that feared God, and eschewed (hated, detested) evil. He was watched because of his being blessed. Somebody said Im too blessed to be stressed; nope, your blessed-ness can bring on your stressed-ness! Satan notices those whom God favors! So, because of his divine favor, Satan attacked him. Satan appears to demote Job in chapter 1. In Jobs seemingly demoted state, he doesnt fall down in depression, nor disgrace, nor disfavor. Job falls down in Worship. Somebody said when praises go up, blessings come down. Somebody reading this is waiting on their blessing. Youre waiting on something in the natural, something material; something you can see. But perhaps you are ALREADY BLESSED RIGHT NOW, in the spiritual. In chapter 2 and verse 3; I noticed Jobs promotion in the midst of his demotion. In 2:3, he is STILL described as perfect, and upright. He is also STILL described as one that fears God, and eschews evil. But then theres a word added from God himself. A conjunction; in English a word that joins two thoughts, two sentences together. Verse 3 says AND STILL he holds his INTEGRITY, although YOU (SATAN) moved against him to destroy him without cause. In the midst of him losing fortune, and Family; he GAINED INTEGRITY (he accumulated more honesty, and uprightness) in the midst of LOSING. In the natural you see a broken Man, but in the spiritual you see a better blessed (Mo Betta) Man!. In the midst of losing I STILL can be gaining. Dont wait to see it in the natural before you shout, shout right now; because in the spiritual YOU ARE ALREADY BLESSED! Mo Betta! Dont think folks cant see it. His wife said in chapter 2:9: .......do you STILL hold fast your integrity....? Even as God blesses, and God says it; other folks HAVE TO RECOGNIZE IT!........Yep, feels like another one!
